The surface lots under the Strangway building, in front of the UBC Bookstore, under The Nest, or in front of the Hospital are not run by UBC Parking and do not accommodate parking passes. If you do not have a parking pass, payment is by machine in the parkades or surface lots, or by using the HONK mobile app.
